Portrait of 'Womble'

Thought i would share my latest drawing of my dog Womble who is a border terrier cross (with something or other!). I am really pleased with how this came out, hope you like it too! It was done in Derwent Coloursoft pencils on a yellow pastel paper.

Fabulous piece!
The only thing I would say is I personally would have done a little of his neck to avoid the 'floating head' thing.

Thanks for the comments!

@equinespirit - I haven't actually signed it yet and was wondering whether i should do that exact thing! I couldn't decide as i didn't want to take away from his face but on the other hand also wondered if it was a bit 'floaty'. May have to have another look and perhaps add a bit more on.

Re: Portrait of 'Womble'

Emma, I would, even if only a little bit of neck, its such a brilliant piece I think it would finish it off perfectly.
