Into The light (Cymbidium Orchids).

This was my latest project that I'm happily called finished last night (it took me a while to convince myself that it IS finished).
This is a combination of Egg tempera and Oils on Ampersand Claybord, 9 x 12"
I started with ink, then did B/W tempera painting and finished it withe several glazes of Oil.
I might need to take a different photo of finished painting, after it dries a little more...

C&C are welcome!

Re: Into The light (Cymbidium Orchids).

Doug, Katherine, Jackie and Elaine - thank you to all!..

It was challenging painting and at some point I almost lost my values (stage 3 in this WIP post) and had to regain it back... and fortunately it worked!..

This is my first experiment of this sort with B/W tempera underpainting and I think it mostly worked out. Will need to try more.
