Thank you! Kema, I can understand choosing the warm sunny room door or no door. I'm just glad that here I've got so much space and light. It's bigger than my Arkansas room was and I also have more space because the bed's smaller. The bed's even on casters if I want to rearrange it.

I love it here. Still working on getting lined up with everything in social services, transportation is the next leap. Other than that, everything's going great!

And I'm getting into pastels again...


Poppy Field Landscape

12 color Conte color hard pastels
Stilman & Birn "Delta" cream sketchbook paper.
Inspired by Colleen Howe "Color Harmony for Luminous Pastels" video demo on artistsnetworktv - I loosely did her demo from memory while she was talking about something else and played with it with color Conte.

Just felt like getting dusty and needed a break, something fun that didn't need to be perfect!

Thank you! I knew I could at least use hard pastels in it and discovered something else. The paper's heavy enough that when I use SpectraFix fixative on it, it won't buckle. I'm getting to love this sketchbook more every time I use it.

Thank you! Yeah, everyone lost about a half day's worth of posts when the site went down. I guess they backed up from a previous save in order to get past the trouble.
