Hey all...
Thanks EP for the great ref photos.. Course I had to answer the challenge.. What country gal doesn't love to play with knives? Don't have to ask me twice.. Have a few more picked out to do...
I have been using Lucas Impasto paste.. I love the stuff! Makes even the driest oil paint yummy creamy and makes fabulous glazes .. Doesn't kill the color and adds lots of volume to the paint. Dries pretty much overnight.. Only one draw back I have found is that it does have the slightest pinkish cast when you mix 3/4 gel to 1/4 white to do a hazy glaze.

5x7 Oil Black gesso hardboard. Twenty minutes..
