Weeders Weekly May 23-29
I did not see a Weeders this week, the link to lst week is here
had a good long wknd, spent some time at the campground, it rained, so the lot was muddy, have some work to do to get the sand and peagravel hauled in, at least then we can setup the firepit, spent alot of time at our friends campsite instead
on the positive side, my yard is blooming and the grass is glorious green

Re: Weeders Weekly May 23-29
Hi Folks, I see a late start this week -- which means there isn't much to read so when I'm done reading I can actually post something. My computer problems are still going on and it is running oooooh so very slow. What I once would spend an hour doing now takes three and I don't have that extra two hours -- very frustrating I need a grrrrr symbol!
I spent the morning out painting -- it's a beautiful day here in my corner of the world and a friend and I have committed to going out every Tuesday to do plein air. Today we biked to a spot on an island where we could look across the channel to the mainland -- makes our area sound so big doesn't it -- it isn't, the channel is very narrow. Here's my morning --
My sketchbook doesn't fit in my scanner but you don't miss much -- just another tree. Since I haven't done this in a very long time and she is just starting I decided mid summer we need to come back here and then follow with everywhere else we've painted so we can see our improvement -- or lack thereof.

Hey Everyone
I be bad.. been reading but not posting. Oils are messy enough without me taking a break and typing with paint gobs splattering about. Wonder why I'm like that with the oils.. Acrylics are not messy at all.. Hm.. Ah well.
Though.. I am working on a WDE.. Imagine that~.. about time~
Bonnie.. so glad your getting out. Garden is still to wet to work in.. More storms last night so I lucked out and got the grass mowed in between rain storms. Hot boxes are brimming over with my flowers.. Someday they will see the sun.. that goes for me too.
Helen.. Great your getting out too! Love the painting/sketch.. Beautiful!
If you find any extra sun.. please.. send it this way.. We are moist.. Very moist..
Beth.. Hope your hubby get better soon.. Take care gal.. find some time to paint it is a mental get away.. Helps when things get a little overwhelming.. Prayers and hugs!
Hey Mary.. I got mine pieces done.. Had fun looking at the exhibit and just looking at the building.. I want the entry pig statue!.. Couldn't lift it or otherwise I would have had it..
Kor, EP, Maureen, Sharm.. Scatty.. and.. and... and... everyone! Have a wonderful week..

Bonnie yes you need a buddy I have a friend who come over every Wed to paint or at least talk painting it is fun we have a challenge bowl and each wrote out 10 things to try
LAst week was do and abstract as we are both pretty much realists and then this week is paint from a photo but loosen it up some
We have done do your toothbrush and something hot all kinds of fun as it is really too hot or too polleny etc here to do much plein aire stuff

Hi Peeps, not been in fer a while, just so busy, and the commenting on here takes an age on this comsplutter some times.
I popped in to ask all those of you who do prayers to please put my dh's grandson in them, his cancer has come back with vengence and there is no more they can do for him. He's only 6 . 5 years old, and has probably got no more than a couple of weeks togo. It is tragic, I cannot imagine the pain his mum and dad are going through. My dh has gone back to uk to be there, and says it's simply pitiful, the little lad is in his own world of pain, but battles on. I do believe miracles happen, and shall keep hoping and praying for him.
Hi Catherine and Phlugal, have just seen Helens sketchbook, fab, and Bonnie...

Oh Kat, that is soooo sad; I will certainly pray for all of you.
And I'm with Bonnie, I'd love to come paint with you -- need to earn a little cash to get there first.
Robert -- that place looks like a grand place to immerse ones self in art.

Re: Weeders Weekly May 23-29
Oh Scatty, my heart is breaking for you and your family. I wish I could hug you, but surely you can feel all the cyber-hugs coming your way.
I wish I had a painting buddy, too.
I am making plans to go to Idaho this summer to see my Mom and am trying to pick a scenic cabin for a couple days in the Yellowstone area, so I can paint when I leave her town. (I'm flying in and out of Jackson Hole, WY) It would also be more fun with a paint buddy. I am shocked at the prices! It's going to cost twice as much as it did when I went in 2009. But my mom is almost 82 and I really do need to go. We never know how many more chances we'll get.
DH is doing better. I have had him home from the hospital for a week now. He is still weak, but improving every day. Thanks for all your prayers and good mojo.
I love that studio, Robert. How wonderful it must be to paint there.
Gotta run. It's almost Memorial day and the tourists will be here soon. My sign shop is super busy!
