? help with rechargeable eraser

Hi I want to buy a rechargeable eraser but have read it's not easy to get them these days.
The review on uTube about the Staedler Mars one says it doesn't hold the rubber tightly.
However I see Staedler also have one called 52701. Does anyone know if this is the improved version or the Mars one repackaged & if it's any good? Any other suggestion too please. It's a lot of money to spend if I don't get it right. I'll have to purchase on-line as I can't find anything for sale here in Australia.
Cheers Bren

Re: ? help with rechargeable eraser

Recently when in Oz I got a small battery operated eraser from Smiggle. I love it. Not the rechargeable eraser you were after but it was <$10 and well worth the money in my opinion. Use rechargeable batteries in it, if it has to be rechargeable. Smiggle is in Hornsby - no idea where you are..... I guess with a name brissie, you are in Brisbane.

Re: ? help with rechargeable eraser

Hi Carol, yes I'm in Brisbane & I too have the Smiggle & it's great but a pill to replace the rubble & I was thinking LAZY & how wonderful to just pull down a length like in the rechargeable ones.
I have since seen an artist sanding the rubber to a point & have found that very useful he also did a review on the erasers & the recharge ones that are available look very big & didn't get all that good a recommendation!
Cheers Bren
