Seascapes

These are two seascapes I painted, the first is watercolor on A4 300 gr Arches after an acrylic painting by Glyn Macey, the second was done watercolor "style" on canvasboard A4 size with "Galeria" acrylic paint, after the art of Doug Lew.
I hope I'm not violating any rules posting it here, I did treat it like watercolor as its the first time I used the medium. Thank you for looking.

If you sign a waiver stating that you in fact, had fun painting it, then you could probably get off with just a warning !!

Very nice work.

Re: Seascapes

Hi Jan,
You sure have a great paintings here. I love the watercolor pallet.
You have painted the waves as if you were a watercolor artist for years.
Great movement of the ocean waves as well as reflections.
I also like the way you had the sailboat to the top of the border,
and including the birds added even more action.
Love to see more of your work.

I don't come here to the gallery very often lately but I am doing the watercolor challenges every month.
I have to be back here to check on your watercolor work.

Re: Seascapes

Well, we insist on watercolours, but your first "real" one is excellent.

Jan, these are wonderfully painted!! Love the action in both of them!! You could post the second one in the Acrylic Forum, too.

Jaka:

Great job on the water, boat, and sky...all rich in color, shading, contrast, and show movement very well.
