J. D. Hillberry's Still Life Workshop

I just returned from J. D. Hillberry's Still Life workshop in Colorado. If you haven't attended one of his workshops, it's a MUST!! The setup was wonderful with monitors so that everyone could see him drawing. All the supplies were furnished, as well as water and snacks. His individual instructions were so helpful. I learned a lot. Never new the things you could do with charcoal and carbon and the different blending techniques. Along with all the intense concentration we did have times of levity and laughter.

I am intent on attending his Trompe L'oeil workshop in August.

God I am beyond jealous!
I wish I could I adore his style so much and have a book of his from when I first started with pencils.
I am glad you got this experience and can agree it is a must for anyone.
I hope you post pic's of what you did there or learned from it.
