A night sky.

I came across a beautiful photograph I took of a night sky a number of years ago.
No question it would be a beautiful painting, it was a very clear night and we lived in a remote area, the stars were out in all their glory.
Any suggestions as far as technique is concerned, I'm fairly new to oil painting.
Does there happen to be a knack of painting a star filled sky.

Thanks,

Buteman.

Here is a link that will hopefully help you out, good luck. Night time paintings are called nocturnes also. You can put the stars in with dots and/or thin your paint and use a toothbrush to flick them in, practice on something else first.

When you finish it, be sure to let us see it! Good luck.
