GraemeK's display thread
I rarely get in here nowadays, but just wanted to post this for some of those who know my stuff and those who don't.
Enjoy.
It's a youtube vid by the way.

Re: GraemeK's display thread
An awesome, powerful vid -- I subscribed so I can see what else you come up with. That very first image with the robot is . . . wow!
I've done several vids over the past year, and though they're executed very simply, I've found them to be a great boost to my online marketing efforts. They're very effective, even though the viewing numbers are low and I haven't gone 'viral'.
I also send them out to my repeat buyers, as a sort of video newsletter. Buyers love video; I guess we really do live in an MTV world.
You're sure to get some great mileage out of this work.

That was a labor of love. Well done.

Re: GraemeK's display thread
He stays in the country outside one of the small towns where I live and this image is the only one he has left from his time in the army. He was stationed in Aden and his camp was blown up and this image was the only one that survived.
I'm not 100% sure about the regiment, but I can find out.

What you did was a wonderful thing. I am sure he is very pleased and appreciative.
Glad you shared the story behind the picture.

Re: GraemeK's display thread
Once again, WOW.
This looks like another job with incredible number of hours invested.
Great outcome.
I cannot imagine how you did all of this. I especially like the shadow you created under the couch and shoes. Did you take the original image?
The tones are nice, suttle. You even got rid of the fury rug.
Now the only thing that I do not like is that although her thighs are straight forward, her feet are far off to the side making it appear that those are not her feet. I know that it is an optical illusion, but it throws me off.

Re: GraemeK's display thread
The photo's not mine (I'll stick to Photoshop) and the photographer had limited time, space and tools so took the image and gave me a call. It does look better in print than on screen here unfortunately.
It's being used in a calendar, to raise funds for charity, using images of hairstyles from decades past.
Probably about an hours work.

Re: GraemeK's display thread
Graeme, awesome job on the restorations!
I agree with Lorell on the placement of the feet. It is an optical illusion as you can tell by the wrinkles of the dress that she has her legs bent sideways from the knee down. Good job on removing the clutter!
