Re: New stuff...

I've tried the rubber mallet... some of these spoons are pretty thick. I have rigged up a rubber wheel. One that attaches on something to make it roll... Any way I bolted one wheel up side down, on top of a table and rigged it up with velcro (to protected the silverware) and I bend the spoon with both hands around the wheel. That works a lot better... and bends the spoons the same way each time. I made 4 more bracelets and sold 3 of them today and the lady that bought 2 of them want 2 more for her sisters for xmas gifts. It's nice to have the "History" with them.
I'm thinking I might have to make a few more...

Silver Wing

Hey there!

I'm usually spending more time within the pages of drawing and painting, but today, I'll do something completely new! And I'm actually a bit nervous I'm currently studying to be a metal-artisan and jewellery making is part of our oh-so-interesting subjects we've progressed from doing simple silver rings to whatever comes to our mind and they've let us roam free and use our own creativity, in which, things for us couldn't get any better!

So I have been testing with silver (sounds horrible, to say to test with a precious metal), done jewellery that can't be shown to anyone- and then ones that can only be given to people that are really close, who are pleased that even when the outcome is somewhat ugly: it's still handmade- and then the few that are actually wearable!

Here's a necklace that falls to the third slot: I'm very pleased of how it turned out. Everything else is handmade by me using sterling silver, except the chain :

Re: New stuff...

Thank you Gladys, I've had fun making them. I enjoy looking at your lovely things too.
Why isn't there a December S&T... if there is one, I can't seem to find it. I don't always have time (or the product) to post but I really enjoy seeing what has been made for the month.

Re: S&T December 2010

Here are my Dec additions. I know the date says Nov 30 but they were finished at the very end of the month so I am adding them here. I bought the cloisonne beads and added Jade, Sodalite, Red Jasper beads with pewter and silver plate spacers to create this necklace and earring set.
