"Garden Harvest"

I have not painted in over a year. 3 eye surgerys. But I am now ready to paint. This is my last one to finish. Been at it a long time. I saw this cabbage in a garden and decided to try it.
Any suggestions for improvement will be greatly appreciated. Do now worry about hurting my feelings. I got over that a long time ago.

Re: "Garden Harvest"

Thanks to you both. I am trying to get it into a new restaurant near my daughters home. The lady will let me know if I can put it up. I will have it framed first.

On to the next one.

Re: "Garden Harvest"

Looks great SilverLady. I particularly like the cabbage and eggplant. Is that an acorn squash? I don't know all the varieties of squash. Those red peppers are quite hot-- maybe not by Louisiana standards though.

Very bountiful and appealing for a restaurant.

Re: "Garden Harvest"

I want to thank all of you for the comments you have made. I have been off the computer for a year or so with eye problems. Detached retina and went blind in left eye. So I have resorted to drawing, as I can hold near my face. Trying to learn to draw while waiting for this eye to heal. Get new glasses tomorrow and hope to be back on track. Missed you all and wish you well. I will have a lot to catch up on.

This is great. I usually don't care for still life, but this is excellent. Bold colors, yet the shapes convey an underlying delicate tenderness.
