Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set

I have also purchased and use the dvd's. I think they're wonderful. Very informative, and I think he's a teacher who truly wants to give you as much as he can. Who cares about the music? I think they're pretty well done, myself and a tremendous bang for the buck!

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set

Hi,

I literally bought it a week ago, having pondered over it for about 3 months.

I ordered online, I live in Perth, Western Australia, I got a fantastic deal, I ordered the 8 DVD Set and for an extra US $2.00 I also got the Oline Version which is normally US $65.00. This also gives me 12months membership to the Forums as well. For a Total, including Postage to Australia I got the 8 week DVD plus a Bonus on Painting Animals, the Online Version and 12 months Membership it was US $104.00. I had immediate access to it Online and recieved the DVD Set in a week from ordering.

I have found it excellent both in content and value, even after having worked in Watercolours now for 7 years ( infact, that is when I started painting).

Take Care and if you get it enjoy it, my Husband couldn't understand why I had procrastinated so he took my i-Pad and ordered it for me.

Love Carolynn. :

I got them a few months ago. Very helpful in all sorts of areas. I am a beginner AGAIN, but have advanced a bunch since watching. Does anybody know where he got that palette. I cannot find it anywhere.

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set

I love Bob Davies. I've got the Watercolor Secrets and it's definitely worth the money. The price is negligible, quite frankly, when you consider the amount of content you get. This includes access to the reference photos used in the videos, as well as line drawings to print out if you don't feel confident drawing. You get ten times as much content as if you spent the same amount on any other watercolor DVD. The only thing I don't like is that access to the forums is only good for a year.

He's a great teacher, has a sense of humor, and teaches out of the generosity of his heart. I bought his Acrylic Painting Secrets just to support him. I don't even like painting with acrylics.

If you're questioning whether you'll benefit from the tutorials or his teaching style, he has a channel on YouTube where he shares a number of excerpts from the DVDs, as well as videos he made years before Watercolor Secrets. http://www.youtube.com/user/BobDavies88

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set

I posted my comments on Bob's DVD's in April last year, and I think I'm going through his lessons for the 4th time, and still learning more and more. When I bought them I was a 100% beginner, but now with 15 months experience I find his "secrets" more valuable for each time I watch the lessons.
Money well spent!
Tommy

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set

I too purchased the set over a year ago and continue to use it as a reference. I know this seems like a commercial for the set, but it really is worth the money for ANY skill level artist.
