Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has purchased this set from the website, and if so what did you think of it. The small videos seem pretty nice.

Thank you very much.

There are OK and will quickly get you painting is you are just starting out. I quickly got tired of hearing the intro music that accompanyies each lesson.

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set
I have the set of Bob Davies Watercolour Secrets. I found it extremely helpful. He explain the prospect of painting each individual element - trees, rocks, stones, water (moving and still) mountains and his skies are fabulous. Whenever I need to paint something in my picture and I am not sure of quite how to make it look realistic, I go back to my Bob davies D.V.D.'s. I really like them, and find him to be a very good teacher. Cheers, Nola.

Hi Rainy,
I would definitely check out the link to his videos Doug provided. I think his series would be valuable to you. And he does provide a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. Which he honours !!!
Here is a link to his free E BOOK
Cheers,
Gail

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set
I bought the DVDs and have been watching the online version while I wait for them. They're pretty good. I like how much detail he goes into on things like washes. They're definitely aimed at beginners (which I am) and focused on landscapes more than anything else, but I've been very happy with them.

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set
I have the whole set. I am not "exactly" a beginner (been at it off and on for more than 20 years)....and found the DVD's to be highly informative, useful and in several cases surprisingly instructive (how to draw a boat from a very simple line). His techinque is easy to follow and for the most part a decent instructor, given that a one camera one point view is inherently boring. In my opinion (not that I am by anymeans an expert) the watercolor secrets DVD's are well worth the price for beginner especially and for more seasoned painters too....as a refresher of sorts.

Hi Rainy, I am another follower of Bob Davies, DVD's. I think they are great!! It really helps the process, and when i feel confused...which can be quite often LOL, i bring out his dvd's. Check the E-Book, as Gail mentioned. Well worth it.

Re: Bob Davies "Watercolor Secrets" DVD set
Hi! I'm new to watercolor painting, and bought Bob's DVD set in January, and it has helped me a lot to get started. I have recently order his DVD set on Acrylics.
