November Page A Day Challenge: Rainy

Hello . . . I hope that this is the right way to do this. I am planning to finish up two sketchbooks in progress this month.
#1 Pentalic Nature Sketch 5 x 7
#2 Derwent 4.5 x 6
I will use various media since both books take washes ok.

Thank you in advance for looking at it!

Day #1 - Pentalic Nature Sketch 5x7
Autumn/Misty Tree
Various OP (Erengi, Neo, Dale-Rowley)

Wow! This is a gorgeous beginning! Beautiful tree landscape. OP work so well on the Pentalic. Beautiful beginning - and yeah, it makes sense combining the two unfinished books into a thread since you're not bringing in 8 different sketchbooks on this.

Wow - a great ethereal quality to this! Do you put a fixative over the oil pastels when you're done, or use something else, or just leave as is?

Re: November Page A Day Challenge: Rainy

Thanks so much everyone!

John, I don't spray anything on them. When I do actual paintings I frame or store in acetate bags but sketches in a sketchbook, I just leave alone. I think Robert sprays his with something though. OP are just so fun!

Day #1b - Pentalic Nature Sketch
Daniel Smith Watercolors

Went from Autumn theme this morning to Winter!
I put this in the sketch rather than waste a piece of wc paper so am adding it to the thread as 1b

Actually, this is the sample project for the Snowflake Triad from Daniel Smith which I purchased because I want to try to do some Christmas cards this year. The picture does NOT do the colors justice. . . the Cabo blue is a duotone gold/blue that is so pretty and the silver and pearl really shimmer.

Re: November Page A Day Challenge: Rainy

This should make for great Christmas cards. Daniel Smith does a great job with their various triads. I think I own just about every DS watercolor they make...!
