Daily Gargoyle: 12/04-06/02

Hope know one minds me starting todays Daily Gargoyle.

Got hit with a lot of snow day before yesterday. Spent the afternoon doing something I should not have been doing and have been paying for it all last night and today. But it had to be done.

Could not get the car out of the driveway yesterday, because the snow plow guy left me a 3-foot brim of snow/ice at the end of the driveway.

Most people here.. well at lest a coulpe anyway. know that I'm disabled and limited in what I can do, somethings I still can but should not... Like sholveing the driveway. took all day was not in a hurry to get it done.

so today finds me a little sore and slow moving...Ok I hurt like heck. wife is mad at me for going out and doing it but she was at work and didn't need to come home and do it.... Some times ya just gotta do what ya gotts do.

Not sure if this has been asked before or not. But who is you favorite Fantasy / Sci-Fi Art Hero and why?

My favourite SciFi/Fantasy art hero would have to be Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell, Dominion, Orion etc) - I've bought every art book and comic by him that's been released here in little ol' Sweden.

Here's a pic from Intron Depot 2 Blades that I found on the net.

Blueyog,

Do a web search on Yerka, you'll see some great stuff. I have two books of his art, I love to just sit and flip through them.

Froud is awesome too, I love his stuff as well.

Michael Whelan. I love virtually everything he's done. Seems to be focusing more on doing fine art (with a fantasy flavor) as opposed to cover art.

I have to go with Brian Froud. It just doesn't get any better than that. http://www.worldoffroud.com/

Three other favorites...

Michael Hague, Alan Lee, NeNe Thomas and Ruth Thompson.
