Talking Doodly Doodly Dooo....

This is what came out of sitting through a really boring meeting ... I liked it so much I tidied it up and framed it. It's only about 10 cm wide and a lot different to my usual subjects and style.
Maybe meetings do have a point after all!

Thumbs up

VERY NICE!! I want to tell you what I saw in your drawing. To me it looks like 4 people dancing. If you added another round head to the 4th one from the left of the pic (2nd from the right), you would have 5 GREAT abstract piece!!

Great meeting! Thanks for posting.

I love meetings too. I usually catch myself drawing a non-flattering picture of someones head, so I stop before they notice!
Never get anything this amazing done.

Cheers

Once I read Artdude's comment, they all started dancing for me, too. I love doodling in meetings so much, I almost look forward to the boring ones. I hate the ones where I have to pay attention.

It's beautiful. I also see the people dancing with their arms up. An useful meeting after all.

Thanks for the comments... and now I look at it, yeah... I see dancers too! I might have a play around with the idea and see what else I can come up with.
I have been having trouble with the lack of inspiration lately, I never thought it would be stimulated by a Council meeting - LOL

Good to see that some of you saw what I saw in this piece

Maybe for a title you could call this: The Dance

So clever! They started dancing for me too! I like the results of your meeting!

BTW, what sort of art do you usually do?

I tried doing it again artdude, I really did... but it died - badly. Maybe someone else can convert it into the dancers 'cause my version looked really contrived and didn't work at all. It ended up looking like a really bad picture of bowling pins...
mel-ink...I'm mainly into pastels and pen work. You?

Maybe we should star a 'Boring Meetings Doodle' thread? What do you reckon?

It wouldn't be right for someone else to take your drawing and convert it. From what I could see, the original only needed that one extra ball to make it look like the others. I think you should try again and just use the same pattern that is there and add that one extra ball above the character that has it missing. Use your original as a guide

This is great. Like Murray, I see figures dancing. It reminds me of a large painting by David Schluss that I saw in a Memphis art gallery years ago that I wanted to buy so bad. Unfortunately, I didn't have the $13,000 to spend on it. Of course, it's also remniscent of another favorite of mine...Matisse's La Danse Of course, he did about 6 pieces that he called The Dance. I'm specifically thinking of his later one that was done in 1932, but this also reminds me of the earlier ones too.
