Retouchable fixative when to use

Pastels are NEW NEW to me - am working Rembrandt soft on Canson paper.

I have a can of Krylon Workable Fixative.
Is it easy to REWORK colors, DELETE colors etc if one uses this stuff?

I am working on portraits and am too scared to "fix" in case I did something wrong.

Help needed.
Thanks - this is a very impressive group, I gotta say!! I've learned scads from past E Mails and the level of work is really awe inspiring.
