My October Sketchbook Challenge
Hi, Robert told me about this a few days ago. It sounds like fun. I haven't been on Wetcanvas for a long time due to no computer and also feeling shy about being here. But I have a computer again and remember this place being a very friendly, supportive place to socialize which I miss.
I like to do detailed drawings so perhaps a drawing per day won't happen but drawing itself could on a piece to be done over a few days. I think I saw the other day an empty sketchpad.
Methinks this is good. I miss art and being around artists in an active creative setting.
Yorky said that we can't do one page more than once so you may have to wait a few days for the first drawing.
But, not to worry.
I have a doll in my room just asking to be drawn...
Diana
PS I just found a bound sketchbook. It has 82 pages. The theme is "The Lost, Not Wanted, or Old". It's things I find or dream up of. I have to fill this up in a month? I'm a fulltime student and I run a business. But I'll try...

Glad you have stepped into the madhouse with the rest of us - it's a LOT of fun and YES we are a supportive bunch. That is what makes this place soooooo great!!!!!!

That's only for repeating FINISHED paintings, not WIPS (Works in progress), so you can show us what you have achieved each day!!!!!
Looking forward to your works and journal!!!

Glad you're joining in, Diana! I'm from PA originally (Bloomsburg, central PA) but moved out to the Pacific NW several decades ago. Looking forward to your sketches.

I think this is a misunderstanding. What I said was post all your sketches in the same sketchbook in the same thread so as to keep the number of threads down. When you add more sketches to that sketchbook find the original thread and post them in a reply. This will bring the thread to the top of the pile again.

Diana, welcome to the challenge! Yorky said it - go ahead and post your WIP scans, I'd love to see them. This is going to be great!

Re: My October Sketchbook Challenge
The warm welcome all of you gave brings tears to my eyes. I forgot there are nice places on the Internet. I'll do something now and hope that my new scanner works on Windows 7.
