Chuck's October Sketchbook Challenge

Ok here we go, I never done a sketch book before, so this challenge is going to be all fun and new to me. The main goal is to do a sketch everyday and at least spend an hour working on it.

The sketch book I'm using is a Daler 8.5x11" 65lb 80 pages, the pencils are by Daler too, all from Wally World... it's a long drive to any major art supply store:P I don't know if I can fill this book up in one month, would at least have to do 3 sketches a day.... Maybe my sketching process will speed up or I might try some very fast sketches before the end of the month...

My scanner is down and out, will be using a camera...
Here's the front cover.... since it's an October, thinking I might draw a witch or some pumpkins on the front...

Page 1.
1 hour sketch....

Good start to your sketchbook Chuck. Great skull drawing, you have the values well resolved and it has a very 3 dimensional quality.

Isn't it interesting to see the variety of sketchbooks that are being used? I like the A4 size you're using.

Very nice job on the skull, Chuck! Was it drawn from a skull or from a photo?

Great start Chuck! I like pencil sketches - this is good stuff. I like the way we are all setting our own goals, it is good to have something to aim for and this is a good project for getting into good habits

Chuck, the skull is great! Good start to a spooky October sketchbook. Cool if you put some pumpkins or other bright seasonal things on the cover.
