Photo Based Art Links

Should we start a collection of links for the photomanip forum? It would be great to see where everyone finds their ideas/info & inspiration online.

Here's a few to get us started.

I love this guy's work. Lots of color, lots of fun.
R. Richard Schmitt's photo-based manipulations

I'm still trying to figure out how Uelsmann gets all his "pieces" to look like they belong together.
Jerry Uelsmann's photo montages

Here's a link to how the brushes work in PS7.

Thanks you guys!

Hi guys...
I haven't gotten past the first link I clicked (Geck's link for how the brushes work.)

I think it's time that we asked Sue Ellen for a Tutorial Sticky. I'd like to see the sticky contain Two main categories...one for "In house" (or thread based tutorials) and one for Web Links (like those I've seen in this thread.)

Geck, it only took a few minutes to discover that the last link in your post is one of REAL value for me. I've already figured out some of what I was doing wrong concerning the use of my PS7 brushes...and OH what a relief to find the expanations easy to understand and VERY well written.

Ron...I haven't gotten to the links you've posted yet. But I plan to make sure I don't lose track of THIS thread until I've visited them ALL!

Thanks guys...this one VERY helpful (and RATING worthy) thread!

Thanks, Julie... glad you found the brush link helpful. Thanks Ron for all the great photoshop links too. I'll look around and see if I can find any more photo-manip galleries online.

Julie, I think a sticky, like you mentioned, is going to come in handy.

Thumbs up

Hear Hear!
I for one, am all for a links list. But put a sticky with it asking just for links. We can clutter up the rest of WC with our oooh's and aaaaahhh's, and have just links on the list, maybe with a explanatory sentence for each one, such as "Photoshop oriented," or "Mainly Paint Shop Pro," etc.

My submission is:

www.tutorialsearch.com
This is a great site for hunting for tutorials to achieve certain effects. It's all disciplines and programs, and is full of neat links!

But I also gotta mention www.zefrank.com
This site is just FUN! Especially his dance routines, and his Mine Kline Art Drawing Toy! If you like CATS, check out his section on Alice B, it's a hoot!

I REALLY appreciate this little room, as digital manipulations hold the greatest appeal for me.

Once again, thank you guys! It's hard to find time, since I'm going to school with about 15-20 credit hours per semester, all computer oriented, but when I have a spare moment, I find SO much inspiration, friendship, and eye candy here!

Fondly,
Madeline

Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Hugh Kretschmer

Note this one has a little butt icon (harmless enough though)
Some interesting montages

Good thinking Maddy... and thanks for the links! We're definately on the same page re: stickies. Once we get a nice fat list of links here I'll clean them all up, like you suggested, organize them by topics, and submit the list to sue ellen to stickify. As we find more links she'll just add them to the locked sticky. (thus no "ooooh aaaah" clutter) Sound good everyone?

And Maddy, I'm so glad you're here too. I think you have a really good eye and appreciate your thoughtful input.
