Rembrandt´s man holding his hat drawing copy

Hello, all! This is one of my latest drawing done on a 8 1/2 x 11 in. toned paper, using a mechanical pencil, a # 2 pencil, and a white colored pencil. It has been a joy for me to admire this wonderful work of art upclose at the Armand Hammer Museum..it´s very amusing and enjoyable.

Comments and critiques are welcomed. Thanks for looking!!

Jose, is it? This looks very nice. I have not critique because I have not done anything like this. But that doesn't matter, it looks good to me.
Bless you. IRma

Re: Rembrandt´s man holding his hat drawing copy

Thank you, Irma, Ken, Luicre, and Jenna, for your kind comments. Even in a small work like this, there´s a wealth of lessons to be learned by copying a great painting like this one of Rembrandt..it has so many details to look at..even the way he did all those stitches and textures on the guy´s coat is unbelieveable!!

Re: Rembrandt´s man holding his hat drawing copy

Thank you Anne, Heather, and Daisie, for your comments. I had lots of fun doing this small copy, and was trying to get a good likeness on his face. Doing a double chin adds an extra challenge to getting a likeness, I had to take my time to study it to capture it correctly in my drawing.
