Along the Creek Bank

Here's a quick one hour plein air piece I did this afternoon while standing down in a creek. Used a palette knife for 99% of it.

"Along the Creek Bank"
oil, palette knife, 9" x 12"

Very nice painting. Love the loose approach with the palette knife and the cool colors!

Hi Bill,

I love the colors and variety of edges in your painting. Really interesting, and those distant mountains go back giving it great depth. I also like the abstractness of the foreground. Very nice!

John

Wonderful palette knife painting. Sometimes I also try to paint with palette knives.

Nicely done - it feels "wet" as if I can feel the squishiness of the lowland beneath my shoes. Love the depth and complexity to it!
