Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
My goodness we are growing fast! I have four done and they are all in pastel. Not easy that small which is why i am waiting for some new pastel pencils to come in before I do more. I just spray them well with spectrafix and they will travel just fine. Welcome to all the latest additions.
Hope you all have fun in UK and do manage to meet up. I was in Cornwall and up from there a few weeks ago Should have made it later and joined up with you! Jen

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
Well I am a late joiner but just finished all of my obligations on the other projects and am feeling like I need another, even though I said I would not join another without the project system being back to normal. I miss the titles and comments.
But that said my first project was Windows with Scatty and crew and I was not a real full fledged member of that one so thought this project would compliment it so well. Since it was put up I have been driving around looking at chimneys and find myself drawn to this project so here I am.
Hey, to all I have been on projects with before and hello to those who I have not met yet. Looking forward to this project and now that I am behind I must get out and find lots and lots of cool chimneys. More fun to be had!!

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
Maybe another glitch in the project system but I was glad it was. I clicked on the join expecting to get "sorry this project is closed for new participants" but it said "you're in" so I was happy at that. I wanted to finish up my other two projects before committing to another and now that I am I went looking for something interesting and here is where I ended up. Thanks.

Lovely. I can see this one sitting on the patio warming you in the cool nights of fall. Perfection.

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
Okay the little black chimney from Bridget is mine but I don't know how you all put them into the reply.
Anyway I think it is a wonderful little jewel and I just love it. It is sitting up on my display shelf in pride of place.
I also love the little brass chimney, I never thought of these being a chimney.(Too literal I guess) Great job. Jen

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
Jen there are a few ways to do it. If you go to the projects page here you can click on the image you want to comment on and then click on comment on the resulting page and leave everything in the window that opens except the part under the picture that says delete..... Just replace that sentence with whatever you want to say about the image.
Another way is to go to the main project page. Click on the finished works gallery link and then choose the participant you want to comment on. The resulting page there will be a list of all of their submissions and the comment link will allow you to comment as before.
There is a way to do multiples at one time but we will save that for another post. This will get you comfortable with the project system. Hope I explained it in an understandable way.

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
Scatty-It seems to be leaving he HTML code in the messages. It seems to happen with cut and paste from another program, perhaps it does not like the font or some such thing. This forum has a very limited font library so it might be as simple as that.

Re: Project Discussion: Chimneys
You can still see the adresses with the gobbledeegoop But it would be easier to decifer some of the world wide adresses without it. Judy could be right about the font being the problem. Anyway right now just relax Kat we can work it out No worries. Jen
