Iconoclast, not so often acknowledged and never sought after (let alone "highly"), finds Julio's work striking and alive. He further finds hmself in a dimension where, oddly, he feels compelled to communicate sideways.

Aurora Pope too, feels sideways (but her perspectives are often somewhat scewed). She is truly enjoying the colors and spacial relations within the pieces she has seen of Julio Aquilera's. She finds his manner of speaking a bit....perplexing; however, and is feeling the need to use a royal "We" somewhere in the dialogue. She fondly welcomes the wanderer Julio to wetcanvas, though, and wishes to see more of his work.

Gary Hoff also finds Julio's work interesting and sees an obvious comparison to his fellow Hispanic painters of harlequins and cubist analyses of the figure. While this sort of work is hardly Gary's cup of tea, he feels that the warm/cool contrast as well as the compositional structure of the work is well done.

As others have noted, he finds communicating in the third person rather odd. He also regrets that Julio himself hasn't seen fit to join the community of painters on this section of WetCanvas.

Prefigured in blue, brush touches
become buffoon, harlequin, a horse
in the mouth of a woman
where illusion finds freedom
in origins and conclusions.
