I thought I would post an oldie. This one sold the other day and I miss it already. I can't remember the size..... biggish.

Re: This month's Ab/Con Challenge

Did this little gouache and pen study on watercolor paper, in the on-call "sleep room" after a long tiring shift at the hospital. Very therapeutic. May turn it into a larger oil work.

Ciao!

I'm posting a couple tree pics already done before the challenge and hope revisiting them will inspire more growth .

Stay inspired!

Re: This month's Ab/Con Challenge

these submissions are delightful! Pamzo this is good, just for fun maybe try a reflection in your floating crystal tear of the tree. billday and wenkat nice strong works here. Artchaplan, this is delightful just the way it is. I'd frame it.
Michelle very nice!

Re: This month's Ab/Con Challenge

Todd, love the trees, good contrast..and they have a curvy, illustrative, surreal style which I particularly like
PushingPixels, the 1st drawing is my fav..gorgeous tree drawing good darks and good feeling conveyed (my kind of tree)
Michelle, great red trees here. The little one is my fav..great little tree
Jon, looks like a quilt of patterns..fun to make..would be interesting to see the larger oil
I think I will post a tree tomorrow too

Re: This month's Ab/Con Challenge

My most minimalist treatment of trees in a landscape.

Biggish, marri resin, enamel paint, bitumen on canvas.

Interesting swirling effect there with the reds and oranges Bill
Here's a quick study I just did a few days ago of trees. I had fun painting (haven't painted in many months or maybe a year) CandCwelcome
