Post Animal, this is for you.

You asked previously a question about how to use coloured pencils. I found a couple of links you might find helpful.
I got myself a set of 120 Prismacolor coloured pencils, and purchased the book by Ann Kullburg titled "Coloured Pencil Portraits Step by Step".
It is amazing! I want to find the book "Coloured Pencil Solution Book", by Janie Gildow and Barbara Benedetti Newton, as well. It apparently shows how to render things suc as wood, metal, etc.

Here are some links for you; http://www.annkullberg.com/index.htm

http://homepages.tesco.net/~p.wilkinson/

this last one shows portraits in pencil, but if you scroll down you'll see a demo (look for 'colored pencil demo)where the artist shows the steps of painting a cat using coloured pencil.

hope these help. They sure inspire me!

Bev
