The Kington Gallery is Open!!

Hi everyone

Thanks for all the good wishes.. they certainly worked... it has been a fantastic ( as well as frenetic) couple of days... and Ruth made a 'big' sale within an hour of opening .

Lots of lovely things being said as folk suss it out.....I came home tonight to an email from a local chap who had been a stranger till today saying, after a visit by him and his wife...

Congratulations on the Art Gallery, Studio and sanctuary for wandering souls!


Another said 'Great ambience and very peaceful atmosphere

In fact loads of folk have commented very positively on the atmosphere, many expressed interest in joining in with things and several 'Serious' ( ie Profesional!) painters have visited already too and expressed an interest

I have booked Stephie for the November Exhibition and a demonstration.....

So, although the whole thing is far from finished ... and Ruth has been calling me an energiser bunny until I keep crashing!! ....it is well under way now.

I come back tired... happy and satisfied... but with masses to do.

I have just downloaded photos ( left my camera behind by mistake last night) but doubt Ill get any on teh blog till tomorrow.... but here's a taster... which frankly looked better leaving me thatn arriving with you... oh well !!!

First,what folk see as they come in.... they can see the full range of Ruths wonderful paintings....

And across the room to the 'magical slimming mirror'.. ( Im going to start charging! ) and some of my pics some of you will remember from years back as well as more recent pastels and wcs




have to get some more stuff ready for tomorrow.....so these will have to do for now...unless Ruth arrives to add to them

Two days ago I couldnt believe it was going to happen... now it has, it already feels like home... well it has got rugs, curtains cushions from teh house down there !!!!!

I so hope I will see some of you there in person over the coming years......

Thanks for ALL the support so many of you have so generously given me... I dont think TKG would have ever happened without it !! Hopefully it will introduce lots more folk to art and online forumns like WC!

The gallery does indeed look very peaceful and thanks to Ruth's and your beautiful paintings on the wall also bright and cheery. The furniture add a very warm and cozy feeling to it, definitely a lovely atmosphere. I wish I could be there to experience it in person.

I know that this had to seem overwhelming at times but you did not let that stop you even when you had a health scare.

I cant rest yet.. this is what the kitchen cum storeroom looked like when I left it tonight... and its tidier than yesterday !!!




Ive just realised its nearly three AM and ive been on ebay searching for paper for printing brochures, and card stands etc etc...... first yawn just arrive d so off for some more sleep now
