Klandestineone's Sketchbook of Randomness

I am so happy that an art journal forum has finally been setup on this site. Unfortunately, I don't have a dedicated book for daily sketches. I just use whatever I can get my hands on at the time as far medium is concerned. I'll start fresh with some sketches from today's studies:

The only drawings from memory are the bottom set of heads on the first image; the rest are from photos.

Re: Klandestineone's Sketchbook of Randomness

Welcome to the Forum. Great sketches! I don't use a dedicated sketchbook either as I've the same problem with wanting to use different sorts of media and one sketchbook, with only one sort of paper doesn't work for me. However I want to keep all my sketches together so I file them in a loose leaf folder thingy. If you want to have a look at the cover of this it's in "Vivs A4 Sketchbook/Journal" and "The Changing Seasons Journal" in this forum. Look forward to seeing more sketches from you.

These are fantastic. I'm impressed with your memory sketches especially, they are so detailed, well proportioned and full of character. You're great with people. The figures are gorgeous too. Looking forward to seeing more of this!

Re: Klandestineone's Sketchbook of Randomness

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Some sketches from today. I don't understand why my camera took such a blurry shot. I've never had this problem before.

whoa - the blurriness is a little disconcerting to my eyes but I like the look of the page - it is great to study individual features and expressions - good work!

Re: Klandestineone's Sketchbook of Randomness

What I can make out, these look really good.

You took the photo without a flash and moved while the shutter was still open. A trick with the camera is to hold your breath and find an edge of a chair or table or something to rest one or both the arms holding the camera. That way, you don't jiggle while the picture is being taken.
