Grand Canyon

Sorry I have been away for a while. I wanted to catch up a little and see how everyone is doing.

This is one of the latest in my attempts to convince collectors that they really do need really pretty razor blades

The painting is based off of the incredible photography of Phil Hawkins.

Re: Grand Canyon

Are you kiddin' me? Steve, that's unreal man! I really admire detail in paintings and you nailed it..... on a razor blade. Colors in the sky and reflective light on the canyon are wonderful!
What medium? Just used a small brush or what?
How did you sign your name that small?

Re: Grand Canyon

Thanks Pete. The signature is painted in with white and then I go back in with the background colors and clean it up. It is really the technique that I use for the whole painting.

Beautifully done... I can only imagine the hours it takes to paint these gems of yours.

Re: Grand Canyon

Steve, this is absolutely amazing. Brilliant work, and thankyou for holding the razor blade in your hand, as that REALLY shows the great work on such a small piece.

Val.
