Re: Pineapple and Island Sunrise

When I first saw the title of this post I thought, "a pineapple in a sunrise, hummh." Then I looked at the first picture and said, "yes, those are the colors of the sunrise." Then I fell in love with the actual sunrise picture! I like the subtlety of the reflection.

Sue, nice work on Sunday!! Love the lush pineapple!! Nice work on the reflections in the 2nd one. Sue, I cropped to the bottom of the pier reflections and liked it that way, too. Just a thought!!

Hahahaha! When I saw the title, I thought "coctails" YUM!

We had a pineapple this weekend that looked exactly like the one you painted, it was sooo sweet and yummmmmy! It was devoured quickly.

These are both great paintings!

Thanks for sharing,

Toni

Re: Pineapple and Island Sunrise

put a little more depth in your pineapple leaves with some darks - do a little more dark/ texture on the dark side of the pineapple too. I think that will bring some more excitement to the painting. I like it!

Thank you all for stopping in and commenting. THe darks are a little darker IRL on both of these. No cocktails though. Just some fun things to pass a Sunday afternoon.
