Re: A Roaring Lion

wow this has real impact especially with that dark background he just pops.Great job on this lion. I cant be sure if he is yawning or growling but I would not want to be to close to find out.

Thanks Elinor, I agree with you - a lion is always a lion no matter what he is busy at the moment

Re: A Roaring Lion

Wow, oh wow, what great work! I showed some people in the office how good this was and they kept saying it's a photo -- I said yeah, a photo of their colored pencil work!

Re: A Roaring Lion

bchlvr thank you!

ElaineV thank you very much - you could show both (the scan and the reference photo) at the same time to the people in the office so they could see the difference

Re: A Roaring Lion

Well done - very realistic textures on the fur (mane). Maybe he's laughing?

Re: A Roaring Lion

Thank you cesarmillanfan, klricca and ncgirl very much!
cesarmillanfan I would say it's much more easier to draw on black rather than on white because the black background already does the half of the work for you and the texture adds some effects as well.
ncgirl just after I read your comment I saw that he really might be laughing
