That sounds great, Don! Would you be interested in hosting a monthly challenge, then? It'd be wonderful to be able to use your photos for the challenge. Let me know.

If I don't have to paint one of them I'm fine with it. If "hosting" means that you have to paint one of the photos I'm not so sure. I have a backlog of about 8 set aside for me to paint right now and I just started back to work teaching. Time is at a premium right now. However, if you just need six or 8 photos to use in the challenge I'd be happy to supply some. ~Don

You needn't feel obligated to do a painting yourself. You certainly can if you want to, but hosting a monthly challenge is generally supplying the images, mentioning in the post that the challenge is open to everyone and that comments are welcome (also mention that members shouldn't post harsh critique unless the artist asks for it), and gently commenting on the works that are posted in the challenge. It's quite simple, really.

I can do that but you might have to send me a reminder if it is too far out - I am prone to senior moments

No problem. Ron sends out reminders in advance to everyone who's volunteered since their turn is sometimes months away.

Hm...we seem to be running a bit low on volunteers. Would anyone like to take on December's challenge and/or sketch thread? It's ok to sign up even if you've already hosted a month previously.

If not, I certainly can. But don't be shy if you'd like to host!
