Paul, this is just superb. One tiny observation... down in the bottom right -under your signature - there are a few lines that appear as scratches... you might want to have a look and see what they are - just in case they aren't supposed to be there.

Re: x post animal forum, dog commission acrylic

those lines, are my little boys contribution to the art world, he got into my studio while I wasnt there, he is two.... he had added a lot more than what you are seeing and I had to repaint a lot of the lower half of the dog.... these will get cropped out or covered with a mount.... but thanks for reminding me and bringing the palpitations back... lol.... Paul

Re: x post animal forum, dog commission acrylic

LOL... got to love kids eh... one reason I don't do still life anymore is my delightful daughter at age three, decided on day to give a painting of a PB&J sannie and glass of milk more realism by adding grape jelly and peanut butter to the scene. My granddaughter (also at age 3) contributed to a still life of bananas by squishing a banana all over the canvas. Must be genetic... so I stopped painting them and risking fate... lol

Hope you can fix the contribution. If not, sign his name as an assist.

Truly magnificent piece! I had a pup like this her name was Chelsea and you have caught the personality perfectly!!
What a masterful hand you have and what a talent, you are amazing!

She is obviously waiting for something - a walk, her dish filled. Recognize that look for sure. Can almost feel her breath - very nice, Paul

Exquisite work! Is this a cockapoo (cocker spaniel + poodle)? Mine was black, but otherwise looked just like girl.

Stunning work Paul! She could be a Maltese too. I had one that looked just like this.
