Question German New Antique Glass

Has anyone worked with GNA glass (German New Antique)? It's a stained glass product, made by Desag. I just purchaed about a 7 pound lot of it. Here's a pic:

Looks like it could be fun!

Wow, looks like it could be lots of fun. Can't wait to see the results.

I guess you'd have to work real carefully though otherwise, you'll wind up with muck (I suspect). I have some lauscha caned glass and it's real pretty when I work slowly but, if I let it melt together, I lose the caned effect.

Show us what you make okay?
Betty

Ms. Tink ...

Well, yes, this stuff looks way cool, but I'm still fixating on that Spruce Pine Batch ... Is it languishing in your studio and needing a good home ?

Just wondering...

Furnace Glass

This bead was made using furnace glass remnants... Bits of cane left over from the creation of furnace glass beads. It's encased with Spruce Pine Batch:

That purple looks like one of my favorites, Richenbach 13 (R-13). It is a transparent so I'm guessing that your sample has white under the R-13.

All the color rods I got have an evil, white, devitrifying core. As mentioned, they are remnants from the making of furnace glass beads. I have no idea what the white core is, but it seems quite chalky.

Tink,
I am intrigued! What cool glass. Show us some more pics of beads when you get a few made up. This would make neat Christmas type old world beads. (another thing I collect).
The best,
Beth
