Civil war me..


Hi All
This is a drawing I did of a Civil war re-enactor ( Which is me BTW) It is done on heavy stock drawing paper. and is 18X24. First drawing in 15 years.. I'm hooked again

Golly, why did you ever stop drawing? Great piece. I would have prefered the background to have come down a bit more. The figure seems a bit detached from it at the lower levels.

Thankyou all for the postive words.. I have to admit I have been long inspired by the quality of work I see here.. you guys are great! Yes Jenna I'am not afraid of pushing the darks.. infact I love it!... As one of the posters mentioned, yes I think I should have continued the image further down.. just got lazy I guess.. Good eye!..

You've done an excellent job here particularly on the darks which makes me wonder if maybe some of the shadows on the pants might not should be a bit darker?
