Okay, so Axl and I were chatting last night and she came up with a great idea that I agreed to implement. So I'm going to toss it out for your consideration.
We thought a monthly art project for this forum would be a fun idea. I've talked with Bobby a bit, because he organizes the weekly draw events, and I know animal organizes a monthly art project for the wildlife forum, and I think something that is a cross between the two would work well for us.
This is how I think it should work. People will come up with ideas for the monthly project, and sumbit them to me. I'll keep a schedule of who's doing what project and when, and help you get your project organized when the time comes.
The projects can be just about anything you want, but the idea is to keep people challenged and get those creative juices flowing. Let your imagination run wild! We could have projects based on television/movies/books, or on myths/legends. We could have themes like dragons, robots, aliens, faeries, you name it! We could do whatever you can dream up! And if there's one thing fantasy artists are good at, it's dreaming.
So if you're interested in hosting the monthly project some month, let me know now. Send me a PM with your project idea and I'll start scheduling people on a first come, first served basis. Bobby has already volunteered to do December's monthly project, with his LOTR idea. So let me know if you want to join in!!!
