Cincinnati Show Update

I've been working non-stop the last several days getting ready for our Fine Arts Fair tomorrow. Each year I forget how many details there are to do until they get here. THis year is made even more complex by - SNOW! - more on that in a minute.

I put our booth together earlier today. I selected and hung one piece from each of the 11 sets of prints I received. I selected them to show a range of styles and subject matter. The rest of them will be displayed in bins on the table. Since we have such a variety, I'll be encouraging people to flip through them all. I've heard lots of oohs and ahs from volunteers and other artists who were there for set-up.

Here's some pictures. I'll get more tomorrow when the show is open.

Re: Cincinnati Show Update

The SNOW: Last week they talked about a little wintry mix for today. Then it became a little snow. Then 2" of snow. Then 2-3" and more just north. Then this morning is was 3-5" with some areas getting six or more. TV stations go into panic mode. Artists start calling to see if we are still on. 11 of 50 have cancelled. But so far it's been snowing since 4 PM, and now at 11 PM we have about 1" on the ground, the rest has all melted as it's been staying at 33-34F. The roads are plowed and salted, so hopefully by morning people will be ready to get out of the house and come to the show. We'll see what the morning brings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh I hope it all goes well for you since you've put such effort into it. Snow wouldn't stop me and I'm sure it won't stop the diehard enthusiasts.

Rich...what a great set up!....it looks fantastic. There sure is something there for every taste. I hope it's a sell-out, that way you won't have to mail back anything to anyone.

Looks Great Rich! I do hope it stops....what a lot of work you have gone to. The display looks great and the write up's are really good! Good one mentioning that the originals may still be available! You never know! Thanks to you if it happens that someone comes along that prefers original works they will feel comfortable asking.
Thanks for all you are doing Rich, we sure do appreciate it! Have a Wonderful Show tomorrow!

Re: Cincinnati Show Update

I really hope all goes well for the show. Your stand looks lovely, you can tell that you have put a lot of thought and effort into it. Sorry I don't have any prints to enter, maybe next year. Good Luck.

Rich,

Thanks for all the hard work you put into the show! The display looks very professional. Even if a lot of people don't show up because of the weather, I really appreciate all the time you put into this. I am sure you will let us know how it all went.
