PLANT PARADE, a forum project - FEB 2010

Welcome to FEBRUARY's Plant Parade. I am your host this month and I look forward to you all joining in.

There are few 'rules' - the main one being we do not reveal any work until 25th of the month.
Any medium
Any size
Any number of paintings
Have Fun

There was such a lack of colour last month with many 'white' paintings. So for a complete change this month we are banishing white and playing with COLOUR.

The chosen flower for the month is the tulip to remind us that spring is around the corner.

The challenge for this month (should you choose to accept it) is to make it even more colourful -
Think FAUVISM e.g. Matisse and here is a couple of links to examples of modern Fauvism HERE AND HERE

Think SCOTTISH COLOURIST Here is a link to a contemporary Scottish Colourist Caroline Leburn

I'll be posting several references of tulips from my garden here in France. You can crop, incorporate and use as much artistic licence as you want.

Starting with Yellow and Orange

PURPLE

REDS, PINKS AND DARK REDS

A few more to come.....
