That choice is easy because I only posted once here in 2009. I posted 2 paintings and this is one of them.
N217 tulips 13, acrylics on canvas, 8x8".

Re: 2009 The Best of Your Floral Art Show

This would be my favorite for the year 2009,
because it was quite a complicated work and I am pleased with the outcome.

My favorite floral is watercolor, 5x8 inches, Winsor Newton paper/paints, chosen because at a small size it makes a statement. I loved the soft purple and blue glow my pink hydrangeas made in the midnight moonlight.

Re: 2009 The Best of Your Floral Art Show

Almost all my floral painting this year has been as part of the Plant Parade projects.

I chose the Canna Leaves painted for KreativeK's hosting in September - I loved the light coming through the leaves, it's a small painting but looks bigger! The reference came from one of the WDEs at that time - RIL image by jkook.

Acrylics on mountboard, 5x7"

Re: 2009 The Best of Your Floral Art Show

Most of my paintings this year in Florals were done for the Plant Parade Projects.
This delicate beauty, with it's exotic stripes, spots and long tendrils, a Lady Slipper Orchid, was just calling me to paint her and was perfect for KreativeK's September hosting.
I worked with Acrylics on 12 X 12 by 3in Box Canvas.

I don't know if this is my best or even my favourite, but I really enjoyed painting it. It was from my own reference taken at a flower display. The display was a bridal train made up of these vibrant parrot tulips. It 50x40 cm (20"x16") Fisher sanded paper.

Re: 2009 The Best of Your Floral Art Show

Most of my floral paintings for this Forum were in the Plant Parades. This painting was in the November 2090 Plant Parade - the topic was Blue Flowers. 8in x 10in, Acrylic on paper

Cheers, Viv
