Re: Project Discussion: Jan/Feb Printmaking CHALLENGE

OK- Here it is!

I'd like to see BUGALOO take charge here- I'll be happy to take care of the optional exchange. The only rule that I am going to use is that if you want to participate in the exchange, prints can be NO LARGER than 8 1/2 x 11, due to postage.

Bugaloo- Any other restrictions? This is your baby

Andrew... You might want to edit medium to read: Any printmaking medium...

Diane

PS... Never mind... I see there is no way to edit that in the format...

Re: Project Discussion: Jan/Feb Printmaking CHALLENGE

Andrew, thanks for setting this up!

There are no add'l restrictions, but for those who would like the additional challenge of more specific requirements, they can feel free to add the requirements of including 3 hearts or a giraffe (or both!) [See previous post called "January Printmaking Challenge?]. But those "requirements" are optional. I guess "optional requirement" is an oxymoron!! haha But hopefully people know what I mean. I find it fun to have requirements like that, but others out there might not and I think we should encourage as much participation so I wouldn't want to have too many that people might find restrictive.

Let's aim for Valentine's day deadline, at least for the online posting.
Can't wait to see what people come up with!!

I think I just signed up. Anyway I hope so. This looks like it might be interesting and fun. I think I'd also like to be in the exchange if possible. Will there be a separate sign up for that? lj

I'm in for sure!

I'll post details about the exchange later... Just remember at this point that the MAXIMUM paper size is 8 1/2" x 11"- It fits in a priority mail envelope that way, and we can keep costs at a minimum. Of course, you CAN make it smaller than that, too!

I signed up, too... I've been wanting to have a valentine print for years and always think about it too late to do anything, promising myself to have something early for the next year... Guess I will finally get to put my knives to work.

Not sure about the exchange... Do we have a deadline for that yet?

Diane

Re: Project Discussion: Jan/Feb Printmaking CHALLENGE

My first lino plate is cut. will proof tomorrow and see what more needs to be done. Right now I see it as two plates, but that could change. The hard part will be the color. I'm thinking Red for Valentine's, but that may be too corny. Besides the image seems to be saying blueish. Maybe purple? lj

Good for you for getting started, vzbike!! Can't wait to see your in-progress post, if you do post one.

I still need to get started on the challenge, but the idea is in my head!!

I just signed up for the Challenge (not sure if I'll do the exchange yet or not)...

Yay! I have an idea swirling around my head... just need to get it cemented...

Sounds pretty good. I'm keen but I'm doing a bit too much. I plan to be challenged.

Re: Project Discussion: Jan/Feb Printmaking CHALLENGE

I want to sign up, the problem is I don't know if I'll have time to work on something since I have an upcoming project that I have yet to start.

Here's plate One of my Valentine. "Let's Sail Away..." Haven't had a chance to print it yet, but I wanted to show you what I've got so far. This doesn't seem to be a popular challenge. Guess everybodies pretty busy. Still undecided about the colors. lj

Looks good- It appears that you are going to have a lot of 'motion' in the water. I can't wait to see this one printed!!

I'm working on it, too- But have to admit that I have not gotten that far yet, it's been a BUSY month!
