Recent Work - CC Welcome and Appreciated

I have been light on posting here, but wanted to share a project that I truly am glad to have completed.

Detail and Overall Piece. It was completed with Mitchel Nibs and gouache on diploma parchment. If I recall the piece measures 20x36. It was a gift for a wedding.

Detail:

THANKS!!

Shawna

A nice liveliness in the italics, although becoming very tangled in places. Was there a reason for the change in nib size part-way through?
The gothic letters have vayring counter widths and between-letter spaces--- try to avoid that. Look at all the variations in the word Sarah . Try to get consistency.
Your colour choices are very attractive.

Very nicely done. I like how the text looks like its falling - like an ee Cummings poem.

What a lovely wedding present! I really like the colours, they are so full of light. How did you manage to get the 'fading' effect so consistently throughout?

A beautiful piece!

Re: Recent Work - CC Welcome and Appreciated

Thank You all for your comments. And Thanks Geoff for the comments on my black letter.

I intended for the entanglement - as it was an interpretation of flames and passion and love. and the nib changes was to assist with the entire thing fitting without it all being to small to read. Tried several different layouts, but I preferred this one.

Again THANKS!!

Shawna
