Was that last one an inkjet print or a laser one? I thought it was only laser prints that transferred.
I have used an inkjet print outline of one of my sketches, subsequently painted it with acrylic, coated with three or four layers of medium, soaked off the backing paper and then transferred the resulting skin to my artwork.
Re: MTM Classroom, November 09:Working with mediums
I prefer using laser printer pieces. Don't quite trust ink jet prints yet but still doing some investigations.

Some more mediums and applications...
EP, getting the idea. Give it a couple more tries varying the water to acrylic ration and see what works best.

Re: MTM Classroom, November 09:Working with mediums
I just finished watching all the videos and it is really helpful to see the demonstrations. Reading a description by the manufacturer is not the same as seeing the demo, so thanks Howard for a great performance.
I think it would also be helpful to see a picture of one of your paintings where you have used different mediums to get an idea what/how you used them. I've seen some of your paintings with the spider gel, but where did you use some of the other gels or mediums?
Idl...
I want to be able to modify the dry paste with clay modeling tools. Which will work best for that. I have tried the flexible, and when dry it doesn't play with the tools very well.
Re: MTM Classroom, November 09:Working with mediums
Patti, the first few videos show me using some of the mediums in a WIP that starts with blank paper and ends up being a completed work. See post 34 and 37.
Mickey, if you use modeling paste, try the hard paste, it can be cut with a gouge or X-acto knife, you can also sand it. When wet the pliable/soft tools can be used to sculpt it before it starts to dry.

Re: MTM Classroom, November 09:Working with mediums
I will show string gel as soon as I get some fresh. My container seized up over the summer and I need to replace it.
Until then, more transfer possibilities.
