well I think a lot of us start with Effetre (moretti) and either stay there or move on to boro...Boro is more expensive and needs a slightly bigger set up....so the softer glass is a good place to start.

I selected "other" because Lauscha is my current favorite! I still use LOTS of moretti, and have many favorite moretti colors. Want to try Bullseye, but somehow have not managed to...

I am mainly using Moretti, I have some Lauscha clear and purple to use with my Moretti. I also have Bullseye. Not ready to try out boro yet (YET)!

Could you do one that is multiple choice? Maybe ask what is primarily used, then what is 'dabbled' with, etc? I am playing with many things, but so far use moretti. CC

I've used all of the above plus Czech, Lauscha, Schott, Kinari, Glass Alchemy, and the dreaded P.I.G. sticks.
I've found that each glass behaves and feels differently, and each has it's own purpose in my work. Well, except for the P.I.G. sticks...haven't found a suitable use for that other than fishbowl decoration.

I use Effetre but also bullseye hot rodz and a little bit of stained glass strips (bullseye, spectrum, uroboros not necessarily together).

mmmmm Lauscha
Started with Moretti, moved to predominantly Lauscha... love the clarity and unusual colors. Boro is mysterious - but, as Ingrid said, the cost for a Boro set up is prohibitive at the moment.

I voted Moretti because that is what I use most often. I have used Bullseye a teeny tiny bit, I have used both Northstar and Glass Alchemy a little bit (more to come!!), and have been using Lauscha purple for a quite awhile. Now I've got the newly available (to us) wonderful yummy Lauscha colors that I've been using - but it's still mostly Moretti for now. I'm still addicted to working with the "real" dark ivory. When Jill and Frank get the Lauscha folks to start making new colors for us beadmakers, well... OK, Shirley, put a lid on it.

I've always considered the 13th as good luck myself! It didn't hurt that my daughter was born on June 13th, which made that one of my fave all-time days...
I have tons of Moretti and have been enjoying that, but have bought some Bullseye (haven't tried it yet) and a few colors of Lauscha (haven't tried that yet either). I also got some beautiful Spectrum stained glass at Hobby Lobby that I haven't tried yet either!! Just waiting on some free time to get on the torch--boohoo.

the poll limited answers to just one
however, I like using all types of glass, but I must admit, the majority of the time I use moretti. Am waiting to order some lauscha as I'm impressed with the colors & everyone raves about the clarity of the clear.

I am in a 50/50 split right now with Moretti and Boro(all colors, not just limited to Northstar) But I put boro down as my choice.
Hey! Y'all have a great day y'hear?
