Me

I wanted to do a gestural/quick study incorporating line and tone with a vignette composition. Used all the puppies; nupastel, pan, rembrandt, Sennelier. 18X23.....oh yeah! it is me!
Cheers, Derek

Re: Me

Wow! I couldn't pull this off in a few hours and this is a quick study for you! Love the color and fun feel.

Re: Me

Very cool portrait, Derek! Your casual, relaxed pose is just wonderful and you fit right in to your surroundings. You even look like your avatar photo so I'll assume the likeness is right on! Don't laugh but my favorite part of this is your left foot. The way you softened the edge of the sock (toes) is really neat and adds so much to the relaxed feel.

Re: Me

Derek, this is so good I love all the sharp edges you did. It has some cartoon feeling which I like a lot.

Re: Me

What a cute little painting!
I really like this type of painting...sort of cartoonish but not.

I love the chair with the the swirly arms the purple and yellow work well to play it up.

Re: Me

Nice one! Having conversed with ya a few times here and there, I can sense your sense of humor in the painting.
