Wonderful loose and lively watercolor! What a great idea to gesso over a previous painting (I have lots of disasters! lol) and give it another go!

Appealing looseness. Yet the red flag (?) confuses me -- flag, cargo? Coming to the edge of the ship rail, is it behind or forward?
