Lil' Cunningham - Rhyl RNLI lifeboat

I used to live in Rhyl, we took the children back to the UK and visited the lifeboat station, the kids were allowed to clamber all over the lifeboat and they got a certificate for doing so, I painted this from a photo on the certificate..........I am visiting in December and am going to donate this to them to do with as they see fit.........

Thank you for looking........

No sooner did I say, I look forward to seeing more of your work, and here it is. Outstanding! They should be so happy with your donation.

Mart, great job. I remember doing this in the US Coast Guard--everyone would be coming in over the bar and we would be heading out. You caught the colors and the feeling of being in nasty weather. Keep up the good work!

I think it's a great painting and the I am sure the Rhyl RNLI will be honoured to accept it from you.

You have captured the roughness of the sea brilliantly and this just emphasises the bravery of these volunteers.

I know Rhyl very well. We used to go on caravan holidays to Towyn and it's still a lovely place to visit....about an hours drive

Tony

Tony, thank you, I had one of the tattoo shops in Rhyl and my parents still live in Kinmel bay.....I've spent many a drunken night in Liverpool, got a lot of mates there and some "woolyback" mates over the other side of the river....lol
Had a look at your site, love the bike stuff!
Thanks again..........Mart
