Wow!! beautiful job on this! love seeing all of your WIPs!

Is your final painting that dark, since so many of the earlier ones are a little brighter?

Re: Molly Mule Ruth

Kathie, I certainly enjoyed seeing all the steps leading up to the final painting. It looks just like the original photo. You changed the background, but the mule is picture perfect. Great work as usual. Sonny

Re: Molly Mule Ruth

Wow Kathie! Love seeing the stages. Even like the second step as a stand alone sort of watercolor. Step 2 reminds me of Wyeth a little. Great work here.

Re: Molly Mule Ruth

Deb, THANK YOU!
Yes the final is pretty much that dark a dark reddish brown body and lighter face, The final was taken outside in natural light, where the others were inside under the flourescent lighting and not right colors.
Ruth, Thank you very much!
Susan, Thanks, I tried to lighten it a bit but it blurred the photo more but it very close to original.
Sue, Thank you very much esp for all of your suggestions on her body.
Sonny. ahh thank you, your too kind, glad you like it too!
Chris, Thank you, I usualy do very thin layers I guess you can call it glazing, and the underpainting is always thin.
Nai, Thank you very much!!
All the comments are greatly appreciated.!!
Thanks my friends!!
