Nora

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Nora
Year Created:
Medium: Oil
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 8 x 10
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
Gillian Anderson as Nora, in this season's production of "A Doll's House" at the Donmar Warhouse Theatre, London. I wanted to try capturing that 'classic portrait' agan... and, this time, I *did* pay attention to anatomy. What a concept, eh? :)

Total time spent? Probably between 2 and 3 hours, on unstretched canvas. Also, I hate the way the shadow on the face is coming across in the photo.. its not accurate at all, and not nearly as dark. I do need to blend it along the forehead, though - will be fixing that asap- its bugging me!

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Anything, please :)

Re: Nora

Hi Stef, will you promise me you'll throw out that black stuff? Raw Sienna might be about right for value in that shadow. I think the main thing you can address easily is her right eye.

Re: Nora

The neck seems a bit to wide on the left side of the painting.
I like the highlights you've achieved on this.
