F B I

this morning at the Fanny Bay Inn
just the type of place I would end up at, if I took the bike for a ride

pastel on board 22 x 34"
the bike is a conglomerate of all the bikes that came by

always some critics the girls liked it, the horses.........
picked up Fanny Bay Oysters for dinner and crushed Oyster shells from the beach for the garden

Re: F B I

Looks like you had a great day, Dan. Really nice painting - I like that dirt driveway a lot (of all things). It leads into the painting so well. It's nice to know that even the local horses stop to check out your work!

Re: F B I

Hi Donna the weight that holds my easle down is a bucket of crushed shell
from a beach I was painting at earlier this week but the glare from the shell on the beach made it tough to paint

Beautiful as always Dan. I really like the composition. It looks like you livened it up compared to the photo -- sign of a professional!

Hi, Dan,

I feel funny commenting as I always really like your paintings! Don't ever have a critique! You always make the scene more enticing than real life. What I particularly notice in this one is how you frame the blue Inn and red roof with your darkest greens. Such a touch.

Re: F B I

Ditto Terry's comments. I like that you included the building in your landscape this time, too.
